  3

My baby boy is three years old today!

He is a force of nature who lives in his own little world.

That world is ruled by Buzz and Woody.

He would wear his Buzz or Woody jammies all day every day if Mommy didn't intervene.

He has 5 different pairs of Buzz and/or Woody pj's plus 4 t-shirts, all three movies and several toys.

Obsessed much?

He is in speech therapy twice a week, and we are seeing great improvements in his speech.

The more he talks, the funnier he is.

I think he has been saving one liners until he knew we could understand them.

He also has a very countrified accent, which is just too cute.

His favorite food is cheeseburgers, which we get at Wendy's after speech.

Last week, he pointed to the Wendy's and said, "Cheeseburger's house".

He also loves chocolate milk, which he used to call, "jijabulk".

Now it sounds more like, "cokate meeeuuulk".

 He loves being outside.

And he loves to run.

And climb.

I worry about him more than I've worried about anyone or anything in my life.

He's an accident waiting to happen.

I'm honestly surprised we haven't visited the ER yet.

Although I guess the fire rescue/ambulance/police extravaganza at our house was enough.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I ask where he is when he's not in my sight.

His favorite toys are his cars, leggos and the toy kitchen and food, aka "bood".

He is nowhere near being potty trained.

He adores his big sisters and can't wait to pick them up from school each day.

Although I think he just can't wait to get to play with the iPod when they get home.

He has a bit of a love/hate relationship with his baby sister right now.

He loves to give her kisses and make her laugh.

He has also bitten her twice.

And scratched her leg.

And squeezed her hand too tight when it looked like he was just holding it sweetly.

And hit her in the head with a bag of baby wipes.

Regardless, she seems to love him, and lights up when he plays with her.

He has a great pout that gets him almost anything he wants.

He has terrible listening skills.

He loves to watch movies, becoming obsessed with one movie which we watch over and over.

This week's movie of choice is "Mulan".

He rarely sits still long enough to watch a movie all the way through.

He loves books.

Mostly he loves flipping through a book, then throwing it on the floor.

He loves to help "haelp" me do dishes and laundry and basically anything around the house.

He has an awful cold right now.

He woke up this morning and said, "Mine tummy hurts".

Not the best way to spend a birthday.

He is a high maintenance, mess making, fit pitching, non listening, constantly moving, always loud, often sweet, somewhat spoiled, always adored, forever loved JOY of a child.

He wears me out on a daily basis.

The jury is still out on whether he is keeping me young or aging me before my time.

I am proud to call him my son.

  February

Several weeks ago, 49 of the 50 United States got snow.

I'll be honest, my kids and I were a little bummed as we live in the only snow free state.

My older girls were not thrilled to hear of all the snow days their cousins in Georgia were enjoying.

We did see some flurries, even a few actual flakes, while in Georgia for Christmas, but at home in Florida?

Not one single flake or flurry.

And we were sad.

Then something happened.

It happens each and every year, and it makes us forget that we had no snow, built no snowmen, threw no snowballs.

What is that something?

Mid February!

  This...

...precious baby girl is not feeling well.

She has an awful cold.
She had a fever last night.
She is still trying to smile and be happy.

She is also FIVE months old.

I never posted her four month stats.  She weighed in at 13 pounds, 2 ounces (45th percentile) and was 25 1/8 inches tall (80th percentile).

Here she is at four months.

She rolled over for the first time on February 9th.  Of course, no one was looking, we just turned around and she had flipped.  She really doesn't like being on her tummy, so she just gets ticked off when she does it.

I took her to the doctor Wednesday just so they could listen to her chest.  Her cough sounds awful, but luckily her lungs are clear.  She had gained exactly a pound since her four month well visit.

And here's my precious baby (well) at five months.
