I've realized that when I get a good photo these days, I either blog about it, post it on a message board, email it, or all of the above. So, for now at least, my Foto Friday will contain favorite photos from the past. This week's photo was taken on a field trip with Ashlyn's class to see the Arabian Knights. All of the 5th grade classes in the county read The Black Stallion, and then some of the schools went on this field trip. Our seats were pretty far up, and I wasn't sure I could get any good pictures from that far away. I hadn't had my camera very long and hadn't played with it enough to know exactly what it would do. I didn't get very many good pictures that day, but I absolutely loved how these turned out.

Stylin' & Sittin'
We took the whole family out to dinner last night. We haven't been out much recently, so the girls and I decided to get dressed up in our finest. We picked this cute "new" outfit for the Little Man. "New" as in handed down from a dear friend who's son is three months older than Little Man, but twice as big. We could not get over how cute he was.
This is only the second time he has worn shoes, and the first was Easter when he was one month old. I was surprised he didn't spend the dinner time trying to remove the shoes, but he was a perfect angel.
Like I said, we don't get out much, so to celebrate actually leaving the house for some other reason than carting kids here and there or grocery shopping, I donned all my finest jewelry. Little Man became obsessed with my bracelet. I don't know if it was because it's so sparkly or because he's just not used to seeing jewelry on mommy. Anyway, after he spit up Gerber Garden Vegetables (green) all over his cute white shirt, he was so distracted by trying to steal the bracelet from my arm, he sat ALL BY HIMSELF. For at least 30 seconds. He actually did it a few times...with his arms up in the air...but by the time I could get the camera and get it somewhat focused, he wouldn't hold his arms up anymore.

Favorite Foto Friday
**Thanks for the idea, B!
Ok, so it's not a photo from this week, but it is one of my favorites. I have it (pre-photobucket editing) on my bulletin board above my computer. Our family LOVES Disney. Living in Florida, we normally have Florida Residents Season Passes, and we make that two hour trip several times a year. We let our passes lapse this year because I didn't want to go while pregnant, and don't love the idea of going with a baby. That plus the money it would take to re-new....money we need for silly stuff like food and the mortgage. So, we're all having serious Disney withdrawals right now.

9/11
We will always remember 9/11/01.
Ashlyn was at pre-school when I realized what was happening.
Ella was three months old, and I held her most of the day while I wondered what sort of world she would grow up in.
A friend came over, and we watched the news coverage together all day as we cried.
I didn't feel any sort of peace until I had all my little family together.
These pictures were taken on our honeymoon in 1994.

A First of Many
After Mommy cleaned the oozing adorable cuteness in the form of stick icky popsicle off the Little Man, he got to experience a first of what we are certain will be many, many more. He got to sit with his Daddy and watch SEC football. Of course it was the University of Florida Gators, and Mommy would have much preferred that his first game be the University of Georgia Bulldogs, but hey, we can save the best for later, right?

First Day of School
The first day of school for my girls was August 18th. I am just now getting around to posting their obligatory first day of school picture in front of the door because life just got in the way. It's not the greatest picture, but aren't they cute?
They are old hats at this school stuff at this point. We got to school, and I said we would walk Sweetpea to her room first. She was walking waaaay ahead of us. I finally asked her if she even wanted us to walk with her. Her response was, "Not really." It was hot, we didn't have the stroller, Little Man is heavy. So, we didn't.
The Princess had me walk her into her room to her desk. She got instructions from her teacher as to where to put her backpack and lunch box. She hugged us goodbye. That was it. No tears. No fear. Just goodbye.
And yes, Sweetpea's shirt does read, "My Dad Rocks". And yes, they did have "My Mom Rocks" shirts right beside those in the store, but she wanted that one.
Maybe they should have one that reads, "My Mom Makes Me Clean My Room and Do My Homework". Then we'd be in business!
