Now they can really bite each others heads off!

The My Fruit RollUps I won from Lisa at Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy! came in the mail today. They are so cute, and my girls were surprised and thrilled! Thanks, Lisa!

  It Just Can't Be!

It can't be possible that my Little Man is about to be a whole year old. That's right, in just 8 more days, he'll be a full year old! And to celebrate the occasion, Friday night, he decided to just go on ahead and do a little walking. I stood him up, and he took about four steps to get to me. When I started clapping and cheering, he said right down so he could clap too. He's just so stinking cute!

Check out the Wordle I made in his honor....right over there on the right. If you haven't made a Wordle, you should. It's really fun to play around with. I love how "Gift From God" is stuck out there all by itself because he really, really is a precious gift from God!

And finally, he's obviously quite the little genius. So what if he can't talk yet other than Dada and the name of one sister, which he uses to call either sister. Apparently they are interchangeable in his mind. Talking is really not all that important when you can read!

  Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Where to start, where to start? It was such a long week, I really don't even remember what we did or did not do or what did or did not happen!

Hmmmm let's see, I know I did not spend the entire week procrastinating about getting my tax stuff together. Since I have my own daycare business and need to keep track of my income, expenses, mileage, etc. I am always on top of things and wouldn't think of having a year's worth of grocery receipts stuffed in a Ziploc.

I did not miss my nephew's 13th birthday party because my Princess already had a play date scheduled. A play date we had been trying to arrange for weeks. Or because the three hour drive alone with my three kids while my mouth throbbed from the possible infection caused by the sadistic oral surgeon seemed too much to bear. No way would I have done such a thing. I adore my nephew and would never dream of letting him down. And I do not feel guilty at all.

I have not had a post about my friend, Scott, stuck somewhere in my head and my heart for the last week. I am not blown away by what he has accomplished, what he is working to accomplish still or by his story of faith, healing and redemption. I'm sure he tells his story better than I could anyway, but I think this picture pretty much sums it up.

I did not take my girls to hear Scott speak at a local church last Sunday, and I most certainly did not leave my camera in the diaper bag with the Little Man. I'm sure he would have loved to take pictures of his new friends in the nursery had I actually left the camera with him, but I really wanted pictures of my girls with Scott, so surely I wouldn't leave the camera with the baby.

And also, I do not enjoy the fact that my girls think I'm cool just because I know Scott and he's "kinda famous".

So, that's it for me this week. At least as far as my poor, tired, hopped up on massive doses of antibiotics and Motrin brain will allow me to remember. I'm sure there are other unimaginable things I didn't do.

  Boy in a Basket

For the longest time, my son has loved to take things out of baskets or boxes or open drawers and throw them on the floor. Just recently, he has decided it's also sort of fun to put things back in!

And I must also point out that even though he was whining and near tears because he realized he was stuck in the basket, once the camera flashed the first time, my overly photographed little boy turned around and smiled before going back into full on whiny mode. And also, I did get him out of there and wipe his nose after I took the picture. Poor baby can't seem to shake this cold!

  Only in Florida

Only in Florida can you find beautiful spring flowers blooming in your back yard.

And this in your front yard:

That's ICE people! In my Florida yard! Sadly, it's always sunny here when it's this cold. We would all enjoy snow for a few minutes, which I'm sure is the longest it would last if it did manage to snow here. I mean, it is going to reach close to 60 degrees later today, and back up into the 70's tomorrow!

  Life is Grand

My bloggy/CafeMom friend, Crystal, gave me this Life is Grand award. I actually got word of my award yesterday, but the requirement of receiving a Life is Grand award is to list five reasons why you find life to be grand at the moment, and as my life did not feel all that grand yesterday, I decided to wait a day before I posted about it. Things are definitely looking up today, so here goes:

1. The massive doses of antibiotics I started yesterday seem to be working, and my mouth is not throbbing in pain nearly as often as it has been for the past week!

2. My Little Man is playing happily instead of whining to be held like he did alllllll day yesterday.

3. I love my new blog layout which was inspired by Mama Sheids....thanks, B! Hope your girls are feeling better!

4. I think I lost a little weight this week by not being able to eat due to the throbbing pain in mouth...silver lining, right?

5. My Princess benefited greatly from the mental health day I let her talk me into yesterday (she, of course, claimed to be too sick for school, and she did have a cold) and went off to school this morning with no complaints.

There, that wasn't so hard today. Now I have to pass the award on to five more deserving bloggers.

1. Pajama Mama
2. Brandi
3. Kristine
4. Shawna
5. Misty
