  Not Me! Monday, Stellan Style

The Cline Family blog is hosting Not Me! Monday this week in honor of MckMama and Stellan.

I did NOT spend most of Monday with a heavy heart and moments of sheer panic after reading that Stellan was in the hospital with SVT.

I did NOT hit my refresh button all day in hopes of an update from MckMama on his condition.

I did NOT finally join Twitter and start following MckMama. I am NOT worried about my next cell phone bill. Why would I join Twitter if I didn't have unlimited texting?
I have NOT spent any time at all creating pictures with Stellan's name.

I have NOT shed any tears this week over a baby I have never met.

I have NOT prayed myself to sleep several nights while asking God to please heal Stellan's heart.

My own heart is NOT breaking for MckMama and PC as Stellan's story continues to unfold.

I have NOT hugged my own sweet baby boy a little tighter and longer this week, and I have NOT thanked God for my healthy kids.

What have you NOT done in honor of MckMama and Stellan this week?

  Alphabitty Moments--The Letters A & B (Updated)

UPDATE: Please note that these are OLD pictures. I am really not trying to give anyone a heart attack or stroke or anything. Although this has given me a great, yet slightly evil, idea for my hubby for April Fool's Day!!
Playing catch up!

  Alphabitty Moments--The Letter 'E'

In my desperate, bordering on obsessive, search for any tidbit of information I can find about sweet baby Stellan, I came across MckMama's friend, Mama Bear. After exploring her blog a little, I found this great blog carnival she hosts each Thursday.

Alphabitty Moments is a way to celebrate the little things in our lives. As the mother of an eleven year old, I know that some of those little things we swear we'll never forget, are often forgotten. Plus, I have older pictures I'd like to add to the blog, but haven't had a reason....now I do!! My hope is that when I'm finished, I can get all these photos into a book!

Mama Bear is currently on the letter 'E', so I'm going to start there, but I know I have some catching up to do. I'll get to that in time. Meanwhile, on to the letter 'E'.

**I'm setting this to auto post because I'll be on a field trip with the eleven year old Thursday. I won't be able to add myself to Mama Bear's Mr. Linky until I get home. Meanwhile, you can just head over to her blog, 4 The Love of Family, to find out what her 'E' moment is!

  Not Me! Monday

I'm not posting a Not Me! post today. Instead, I am asking that you say a prayer for MckMama and baby Stellan.

  A Few Things

1. This is my Princess at her Brownie troop's Famous Women Tea Party. All the Brownies dressed up as famous women in sports and then read three clues to a group of teachers who had to guess who they were portraying.

Can you guess who she is?

**She's the youngest woman to win an indivual Olympic gold medal.
**She won her gold medal in 1998.
**She was the first woman to perform a triple loop/triple loop in competition.

Funniest moment at the tea: A Daisy troop was also there, and they were dressed as fairy princesses, Disney characters and characters from Barbie movies. One little girl's clue was that her name is a compound word. The Princess' friend, Lilly, yelled out, "Compound Chicken!".

2. Thanks to Boomama, I am completely obsessed with March Madness and can't stop checking basketball scores to see how my bracket is holding up. So far my record is 22 - 2! Which is better than the Hubby is doing, so yeah me!

3. How does one sit in a high chair with a tray and still manage to get oatmeal on one's toes?

4. How much do I love these curls? And that spot on his neck just under the curls? I could just eat it up!

  How To Catch a Leprechaun!

My Daddy's birthday is today. Yes, he's the largest leprechaun on record. Anyway, in honor of his birthday, we make a big deal about St. Patrick's Day at my house. On top of that, the director at the preschool my girls both attended has a birthday today too, so St. Patty's Day was always a big deal there. Sean the Leprechaun visits the school every year, and the kids build traps to try to catch him. Leprechauns are very quick and sneaky, so they are hard to capture. It never fails that while they are outside or at lunch or chapel, Sean makes it into their room. He leaves "gold" pieces on the floor, moves backpacks from one cubby to another, turns chairs upside down and just generally leaves a royal mess.

My girls aren't in preschool anymore, but one of my home daycare kids attends the same school. After school yesterday, all he wanted to do was build a leprechaun trap. Now, at first they insisted that to build a trap, you needed to be inside with scissors, paper, glue and glitter. "Someone" managed to convince them that leprechauns might be easier to catch outside. They spent the entire afternoon outside building traps.

First, you have to have something to lure your leprechaun into the trap. As leprechauns are known to be quite greedy, jewels or gold are a good choice.

Next, you need some way to actually capture the leprechaun. When he goes in for the jewels, he'll hit the stick, knocking the bowl on top of himself.

I don't know what the overturned chair is for. I'll have to consult with the architects when they get home today.

It almost worked. Notice how the bowl is overturned. According the Princess, who was lead architect on this project, he must have been a rather strong leprechaun because obviously, he was under the bowl at one point, but must have flipped it off.

I did manage to catch my own little leprechaun!

It wasn't easy! He's pretty quick and sneaky himself!

  Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I (really) did not post a Not Me! last Monday, so I have two weeks worth of guilt to unload.

**I did NOT have to have a talk with the Princess' teacher about how she had to sit out recess and needed to write an apology note to her friend at school because she put a two inch nail in his chair. (She did NOT move the nail before he actually sat on it.)

**I was NOT somewhat taken aback by the teachers lack of concern over where, when and how my precious Princess found a two inch nail at school, in her classroom.

**I did NOT make said Princess write an apology to her friend and the teacher. Her apology to the teacher did NOT say, "I am sorry I got my name on the bord (board)." I am NOT convinced she's only sorry she got caught.

**I did NOT have to stick my finger down the Little Man's throat when he got choked on something he picked up off the floor. Nope, my floor is always spotless. I did NOT manage to push whatever it was further down his throat instead of being able to scoop it out. I did NOT spend the rest of the day worrying about what it was and if he would be able to digest it.

**I did NOT have yet another appointment with my sadistic oral surgeon. I did NOT go into it with high hopes that he would say it's time to set up the final step in this endless process. I did NOT actually hear the words, "Come see me again in a month."

**I did NOT send my girls off to a Girl Scout event from 10:30 - 2:00 on Saturday believing that they would be offered something for lunch. I did NOT pick them up only to find out they had had nothing to eat but candy and cupcakes.

**I did NOT get TWO nights out this weekend. Without my kids!! I did NOT thoroughly enjoy every minute. My heart did NOT melt at the joy on my baby's face when I got home!

I'm sure there are more things I most assuredly did NOT do over the last two weeks, but that's all I can remember right now. What about you? What did you NOT do this week?

  But I'm So Completely Normal

And also, I'm completely with it and on top of things.

I've been tagged again. Two people got me this time, Lisa and Brandi. It's been a while, but I'm just getting to it. Have I ever mentioned my mad procrastination skills?

I'm supposed to list six weird things about myself. I asked my girls, and they just looked at me like I was crazy!

1. I don't sing EVER in front of anyone other than my kids.

2. I am FAR from being a neat freak, but if certain things aren't the way I want them, I go berserk. Like if people leave their shoes out in the middle of the floor! Or too many bowls in the top rack of the dishwasher.

3. I fall asleep almost every single night on my sofa with the tv on. I'm not sure why I don't realize I'm ready to go to bed and go on up to my nice comfy king sized bed. I think it has to do with needing a little awake time without one or more kids nagging me about something.

4. I love to bargain shop and very rarely buy anything that's not on a clearance rack. And I mean a deeply discounted clearance rack. The True Religion jeans on the clearance rack at the Saks outlet? The jeans who's "deeply discounted" 50% off price was still $129? Those do not qualify. No, when I say bargain shopping, I mean like the Apt 9 denim bermuda short I got at Kohl's for $7.20 or the t-shirts from Tar-jay for $3.98. And I don't have a problem at all telling people my entire outfit costs less than $20.00. I'm actually pretty proud of it!

5. I just had a Lean Cuisine for lunch. I washed it down with some very sweet tea and followed it with a Thin Mint for dessert. And I wonder why I'm not losing weight.

6. I couldn't really think of a 6th thing. Then I went to my mail box and realized that for the third month in a row, I have received a copy of Latina magazine. I am not Latin. I did not subscribe to Latina magazine. I haven't a clue as to why I'm getting Latina magazine, but there it is for the third month in a row. Selena Gomez is on the cover this time. My girls will love it!

I'm not going to tag six more people. It's been so long, I'm sure everyone who I would have tagged has been tagged already anyway!

  Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I do not want to post about my baby boy's first birthday but just can't seem to find the time.

I did not make a red barn cake for him to smash at his party. Seriously, what sort of demented mom would give a one year old red icing?

I did not lose a check while running around like a crazy woman trying to straighten up my house before the Little Man's party. Nope, my house is always straightened, and I would never leave a check just lying around in the first place.

I did not have to pick my Princess up from school today after a phone call from the school nurse stating she had a headache and a "fever" of 99.9. The headache and "fever" did not magically disappear once she was home on the couch watching H2O for the umpteenth time! And she does not have a brand new impetigo spot under her arm either!

I did not waste a good bit of valuable time creating this new layout for the sole purpose of showing off above mentioned red icing covered baby boy knowing that I'll most likely change it again in the next few days!
